The LAK - 17A is a new generation of FAI 15m - 18m class sailplane designed and certified to the JAR - 22 category "U" specifications. It is a midwing glider with flaps, T - tail, retractable main landing gear with the shock absorber, pneumatic tail wheel and is capable of carrying 180ltr water ballast.

 

The LAK-17AT is a single seat high performance self-sustaining powered sailplane of FAI 15m – 18m class designed according to JAR-22, category “U” specifications. It is a mid-wing motor-glider with flaps, T-tail, retractable main landing gear. Sailplane is equipped with retractable power-plant powered by 19,6 kW (26,28 hp) two stroke two cylinder air cooled SOLO 2350 engine.

 

The LAK-17B is new version of LAK17A. Regarding A version, B has new wings with modified geometry and new wing profile, which allow even higher wing loadings than competitors. Fuselage and tail section is identical like A version.

 

The LAK-17BT is a sustainer version of LAK-17B and it is equipped with retractable power-plant powered by 19,6 kW (26,28 hp) two stroke two cylinder air cooled SOLO 2350 engine. It is also possible to order a self-launching version.

 

LAK-17A FES and LAK-17B FES are FES equipped high-performance sustainer sailplanes. The drag induced by FES installation is deemed to be similar to the drag induced by bug-wipers.
